Quinta Algarve is surrounded by a spacious and natural garden area with a swimming pool, lawns, fruit meadows, fruit trees and chill out areas. Both our wintergarden and the billiard room offer a cosy setting for a get-together in the evening.
The Serra de Monchique is an unfrequented, green and hilly landscape located in the South West of Algarve. With its fertile hillsides and fragant/scented pine and eucalytus trees, it provides a stunning contrast to the sparse vegetation of the nearby Atlantic coast. Both the Via Algarviana, once a Pilgrimage route and nowadays a wonderful hiking path through the entirely untouched hinterland/ back country, as well as the Rota Vicentina, a spectacular long-distance trail along the wild West coast pass through the area. Thereby, the rough West coast is impressively contrasting with the quiet sand beaches of the South coast. We will explore the highlights of Algarve's landscape during four guided hiking trips: starting with the hilly terrains of Serra de Monchique, characterised by their coak oaks and pine trees, continuing with the heavenly South coast with its small bays and cliffs and finishing with the imposing West coast and its typical cliff formations
The highlights of this hiking holiday:
climbing the second-highest peak of Algarve's
standing at the most South-Western tip of Europe
hiking along picturesque beaches and imposing cliffs
We will gladly send you a detailed programme of all hikes.
